BIB produces sub-bituminous thermal coal under the brands of BIB 4000 and BIB 4300, named after their typical calorific value (arb). The coal is environmental friendly, because of its low ash and low sulphur content. Its low pollutant content makes the coal ideal for use in low pollution power plant operation and as blending coal to reduce the sulphur content of coal with higher caloric value.
